I saw reddit mentioned here so I went over to check it out. I found the place to be inhabited by weirdos, morons and illiterates but maybe I was just on the wrong threads. Lots of misinformation.

I've been IP banned from reddit like 11 times. I stopped counting at 11. Their tech to track ban evasions is really good now, so it'll be a project to spoof user agent on a proxy and build up an account in good standing again. It's almost not even worth it with the state of the site now, it's just overrun by teenagers and normies.

Writing prompts used to have actual works of literature back in like 2014. Have not been impressed recently. Nosleep is just tired at this point lol

I think like there's so many sockpuppets on reddit to spread FUD on competitors or just to sell their own products.

There's some nice helpful things here and there, but they feel harder to find lately. I used to do a lot of surveys and a lot of them would ask where you get your information to buy things, and it seemed very obvious they knew Reddit was a big place they had to target. You used to be able to search things like "best toaster 2026 reddit" and find helpful information, but advertisers have spammed it so much it's impossible to find anything you can be sure is real any more.
