NAD+ and blood sugar?

I am a type 2, who has regulated my blood sugar with tirz and a glucose monitor for the last nine months. I started nad+ about 10 days ago. In this time frame, my blood sugar has also been more erratic than usual. I didn’t connect the two until this morning, when I injected and I got notice a bit later of a glucose spike. I had not eaten anything, so this was completely out of the ordinary. Now I’m wondering if the NAD is affecting my glucose levels. Anyone know anything on this topic?

You are correct. I misread something in the study and thought it indicated a reduction in blood glucose as well but I was incorrect. Thanks for flagging this.

Hello! I'm new here and found this forum while researching metabolic health. I'm hoping to learn about safe approaches to blood sugar management and am committed to harm reduction principles.

Regarding NAD+ and blood sugar fluctuations - I've been on Ozempic for about 2 years and monitor my glucose regularly. While I can't directly connect NAD+ to my readings, yesterday was actually the first day in a long time all my numbers stayed under 100 (which is still rare for me given my unpredictable levels).

I'd be curious if others have noticed patterns between NAD+ supplementation and their glucose monitoring.
