It's great to be here. I'm 62M, always an athletic/strong guy with careful diet, but some fairly severe problems were killing me. I've spent an absolute fortune troubleshooting my health issues and finally have reached the point where I am functional. Poor health forced me to retire at 60, and pretty much give up hope. Stairs were impossible, just getting up from a chair required arms to push me up! Walking 1000 feet took an act of congress. After retirement I spent my time using AI's and my Endocrinologist/primary doc to hone my treatment. Unfortunately the required prednisone+hydrocortisone took me to 262 pounds, up from my normal muscular 182-190.

Ex bicycle racer/athlete/pilot/aircraft owner

Hashimoto's, severe. (and don't convert T4, so I'm on T3 only)

Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency, total.

Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (anti RNP antibodies) (kinda like Lupus)

Possible Myasthenia Gravis (muscles don't respond) that is drug responsive, but does not show up in labs.

Mitochondrial Dysfunction diagnosis (from 25 years ago)

All brought on by a near lethal episode of Epstein Barr virus at age 33.

Anyway, I discovered the peptide world and have been able to get back down to 200 pounds, still dropping about a pound per week. 10 pounds more and I'll be at 190, my favorite athletic weight. The weight loss while wonderful is no cure and the disease issues rage on. However the prescriptions are working. And peptides that help mitochondrial function (while no cure) do help. I'm a heck of a lot better off than just a few years ago.
