Tirz 30mg strength vial, want 5 mg dose, reconstituted with 1.5 ml BAC for 25 units for 1ml syringe, expecting 6 doses but only get 4

I pull a touch more water because I filter (.22μm PES 4mm) but, where am I losing my water? 2 whole doses is a lot to lose. Do I need more BAC due to filtering?

Please advise 🙂

Your math works and the outcome I think matches what is expected....4mm PES filter absorption is about 7 units per filtration. 4 doses x 28 then add dead space on your draw? I could see losing 2 from that. 2mL BAC would get you closer to what you expect.

You would need to put more details to see where you are loosing so much.

How wide is your filter? A 13mm filter can hold back 15u - 28u.

I use 3ml and 5ml bulk syringes to handle bac and filtering. They are less accurate, and the syringe itself hold back a few units of liquid.

I normally loose ~10% in filtering small volumes. I try to push some bac water into the new filter first. When I filter the recon with my 3ml+ syringe, I make sure it has a good amount of air, so at the end, I push air thru the filter to squeeze a few cc out. I also always use 40u+ per dose for glp, 50u for ghk, mots, to limit filtering losses, and isr.

Here is a video that can explin a bit on loss and how much loss one can have with filtering. Hope this helps on that part.

That was a great video on explaining and showing!

I've read about the "loss" but, that was the first time I saw it demonstrated.

I appreciate it. Thank you!
