Hey everyone,
I’m checking in to introduce myself and document my journey back to health. I’m a 45-year-old male, 5'10", currently sitting at 240lb.
For many years, I lived and breathed endurance sports, specifically long-course triathlons. Unfortunately, a string of multiple injuries/surgeries combined with the passing of my father sent me into a tailspin. The weight crept up, and I found myself in a place I never thought I’d be in again. I've struggled with weight my whole life, and thought I had finally found my stride - but you know - life.
I’ve tried Semaglutide in the past, but the side effects didn't sit right with me and I didn't like the overall "feel" of the medication. After doing some research, I decided to pivot. I pinned my first dose of Retatrutide on January 8th.
I’m here to learn from the collective experience of this group. My goal is simple: drop the weight, get back to fighting shape, and reclaim my quality of life. I’m tired of letting life beat me down—it’s time to flip the script and get back to the athlete I know is still in there.
Looking forward to connecting with you all and sharing the progress.
