Hi all,

So amazing to see the progress in medicine - only wish it all gets tested/approved and becomes available faster!

At some point, I noticed that some peptides are used for pets too! BPC-157 for example.

I am a cat owner with two senior kitties (10 and 13).

Does anyone have experience in this area?

Not cats, but I give my Dog epitalon and thymalin. Hoping since dogs age 7 times faster she might get a few extra years. I have also given here wolverine blend in the past.

Aren’t cats known for having sensitive kidneys?
100% yes. Almost everything is toxic to them, when much would be fine for dogs, humans or other animals. CKD is a huge medical issue with a lot of cats, with more chance for presenting as they get older. One of my dudes randomly crashed, no indication from his previous blood work that he had any propensity, and after $18k in vet and hospital bills - plus a nephrectomy - he's been doing well for almost 2 years. But I have to consider every little thing in his environment and food to be sure he stays that way.

I would hope to prevent CKD somehow. Recently, I met someone whose cat had a stem cell treatment for CKD. The cat is 21yo, had CKD since 15. So there are ways....but surely would be better to prevent that.
