Is BD that good that it's worth the extra? I don't mind spending the money, it's just a huge difference BUT if it's better, I'm game.

First off it's a box of 90. The other brands/vendors can't ship to Georgia (and now apparently FL). So the appeal is a good syringe at a fair price that can actually be delivered.

I was able to order from Amazon:

Penacul 31G U50 5/16 8mm 30pk $11.99

Knixxo 31G U100 5/16 8mm 20pk $12.99

Both were absolute crap and went into my sharps container unused.

BD 31G U100 5/16 8mm 90pk $23.31

Amazon avg .50¢ ea and Adw .27¢ ea

Never heard of those brands. I get easy touch, 100 ct boxes, come in 8mm, 6 mm, and 12.7 mm for $16.19. Care touch is less, also in boxes of 100, for $9.97. I prefer easy touch of the 2 I mentioned, but caretouch is my backup. I used easy touch syringes too- I got them for the cat because the 50 and 30 unit sizes had half unit measures- she took 1.5 units q12. I needed the accuracy.
