There have been some interesting and promising studies of Yacon for weight loss and also blood sugar and A1C control.

Has anyone heard of continuing research?

We added yacon syrup into my Mom's daily routine for a couple of months last year. She had been on glp1s for years at that point and couldn't feel appetite suppression from them anymore. She said she liked it and it helped her while she was taking it, but didn't continue it, so its effect must not have been convincing enough to continue buying.

She wasn't feeling the suppression but how were her numbers? Weight ok?

They caused an initial weight loss of around 50lbs, but she was still morbidly obese. She was the type were she wasn't actively changing her diet or exercising, so all of that loss was passive loss from the shots. She developed some diabetic ulcers on her foot that almost caused an amputation last year, so that scare combined with a switch to mounjaro helped her start actively losing and she has lost another 50 plus healed her foot. We are thankful.

Tried some in my coffee in the am for 4 months- did absolutely nothing. Tasty though.
