The nostalgia, I recall the small stir on here with Eli Lilly's CEO pronounced Retatrutide Re-Tat-Tru-tide versus Reta-tru-tide. Most people basically saying no the CEO is saying it wrong we'll choose how it's pronounced. I thought it was a little humourous. I also am in the strong minority and like how the CEO pronounces it, it's dumb in a quirky way, and to this day that's how I pronounce it, not because it's official, but because I find it fun. I know more fed behavior from our favorite notafed....

The complaint, orforglipron, what an awful word vomit of a name, if it was chosen for obfuscation it's worked very few people cared to notice, but still the British called there early tanks, tanks, to make the Germans believe if they heard word they were talking like water tankers. Point being Tanks now makes sense/ is a good name. Lilly could have done better. But, a drugs scientific name can be forgiven, a little, at least I believe more so than it's brand name. Lilly here I believe has done a second sin. Foundayo? It doesn't do it for me.

So, before we have a bigger failure and possible revolt, what should Lilly call Retatrutide? I like saying the name one way, you likely the other, but in either case I have heard no complaints for it's scientific name. It's got a good start. I think this is important it's a king maker the most powerful one to rule them all. It's got to have a name that's dominant or at least super hopeful. It's got to be good enough your willing to inject it in your body.

Look at good branding Apollo now Artemis twin of Apollo goddess of the moon it's good branding. The mars rover Perseverance named by a child great name. The rover had to persevere a long journey alone and persevere it must now on the surface of the mars. The Integrity capsule of Artemis II, if I were an astronaut riding it through the atmosphere seeing the heat and plasma out the window I would damn sure hope my capsule has integrity. Great name.

Look at bad branding Oreo vs Hydrox. I don't want to eat a Hydrox that's the name of a floor cleaner.

I don't have a great suggestion myself. I half considered a bad name to get roasted just to get people going, but I want to see the ideas and fighting (light hearted) in the comments. I don't know I feel like you could take the Re and make connotations with a reset or restart or second chance. Hmmm 🤔.

Finally what I do offer, I can't think of a name, but I know what color pallets should be used. Jazz.

Lilly buy the rights immediately. I'll take my check in the mail for the help. DM and I'll see if I can take time off from not being a fed to be your designer. I'll here dessent, but this is in my not humble opinion the only real choice. If you come up with better (impossible) you earn my respect 🤜🤛 (that's a fistbump)

My tier list for names btw (nothing to do with the drugs themselves)

Ozempic 1st brand recognition top tier that ear worm commerical it got parodied on southpark for God's sake.

Zepbound 2nd, I like, superior product "bound" like we're heading somewhere on a journey weight loss is a journey were bound for success. The zep comes from the drug tirZEPatide and the Z feels future and is near the end of the alphabet. I hear zepbound, and it feels like the natural 2nd generation better than ever product it's iPhone 4s vs iPhone there's a talking lady in the phone now if the older remember that.

Wegovy/Mounjaro these are tied for 3rd. Both second rate names if wegovy and ozempic traded places I would give Wegovy more credit for being the name for diabetic use, but for the big weight loss goal it's not stunning. Maybe W for weight loss I just don't see it though. Mounjaro is M for meh and more so falls in line for it's the diabetic use name. I like the little almost mountain on the logo and it fits with the M, but diabetes isn't a mountain to climb I hope for most it's an issue that get treated and resolved even if medication is permanent. If Zepbound had a green mountain maybe the light green (current color) for one triangle and the second triangle in British Reaching green I wouldn't hate it.

Foundayo last place boo. More like Mayo. I don't know where they Found this bland Mayo name, but they can lose it.

This thread is exactly what I was looking for. So much greatness I'm still going through it. I like just straight up Lizzo from southpark just imagining actually rolling with it would be hilarious.

Current favorites are Retraxa, Retalean, RetaTriacta, RetaTrifecta, and Deeznuts. If they made that real I would have to get a name brand shot of Deeznuts. Also Lizzo, Ligma and Dragon are good choices
