30-31g 8mm (5/16") Luer Lock or Luer Slip Needles only

Have you used these before? Wasn't sure how much brand mattered with needles or not, but I am not seeing a specific brand name mentioned on the product page. I just see Shaotong in the images. Looks like a brand I see a lot of on Amazon.

If they are decent, it would be nice to have these for TRT, as I have lots of 21-25g that I can use for drawing, then swap to a fresh 30g for the SubQ.

I dropped that idea. I have plenty of 23-25G for recon. I'll stick with my 31g ET and BD's. I'm used to them now. @woundcarping, do you warm them to help draw easier?

Warm what to draw easier? Test vials, yes. Peptides, no.

...I warm the test vial in a small container of warm water while I'm brushing my teeth/doing other injections/whatever.

I do peptides with 5/16-1/2" 30g, usually.

29g offers 20-35% more cross sectional area/flow than a 30g... the marginally bigger radial increase is a squared function.

Same, but 5/16" 31g. I've got those down fine now. Just need to hit the center of the vial and draw slow.

Yep, 31g was a bit slower than I cared for for water based, so 30g for peps, 29g for oils.

Sometimes the rubber stoppers seem to be too hard for >30g and so the needle goes dull. I thought this wasn't a thing, but I've done some stabby stabby before and after and it does make a huge difference.

I now settle with these... And bonus... It's dishwasher safe!

Excellent for injecting a turkey breast and doing it on the pellet grill.

The downsides are more dead space and the needle switching adds a step...

Replying to this as a +1 reiteration, as I missed it the first time around. The dead space that I am seeing with Luer Lock is 0.05mL, which is pretty significant, needs to be accounted for when drawing the initial dose before swapping needles, and reclaiming that post-injection isn't really possible because of contamination. Unless I am missing something in this process, Luer Locks seem like they come with inherent loss. Likely well-known stuff that I am just learning. But I will be sticking to backfilling 30g insulin syringes. Favorite other way to do it so far.

Someone posted a link in here for Easy Touch luer lock needles, and it had some 31g short needles, maybe 4mm too. It's somewhere in this thread. I dropped the idea, as I have 4 boxes of East Touch and BD 31g 8mm in .5 and 1ml. I reconstitute 2 vials about a week before I do the shots, so why bother.
